Community Development Efforts

West Tennessee Planning will provide services to develop Lauderdale County’s Comprehensive Plan and Community Master Plans. They will create a county-wide plan, which includes planning for future land use, assessing city growth boundaries, and developing transportation plans. They will work with Ripley, Halls, Henning, and Gates individually to meet their needs. Each of our four communities will have their own Master Plan based on the overall Comprehensive Plan. These Master Plans will cover housing, transportation, shopping and business growth, smart development strategies, community amenities, parks, public facilities, and utilities.

As the West Tennessee Planning team takes on this project, they will seek input from residents of Lauderdale County through workshops and other outreach efforts. Be on the lookout for more information on how you can participate and make your voice heard for Lauderdale!
